Use PuTTYcyg as Windows Command Prompt Shell
Use PuTTYcyg as Windows command prompt shell. This way you can benefit of both best features e.g. able to give Unix like commands under Windows and also having good terminal capabilities of PuTTY.
TIPS:
Install first Cygwin with the default packages plus the ones you feel will need and then PuTTYcyg. To configure PuTTYcyg read the README file. So take benefit of PuTTY to local save automatically your terminal sessions.
Install also the PsTools from SysInternals to have benefit of having the CLI interface for Windows processes.
