What Circle Dock Allows You to Do:
-Drag and drop your files, folders, and shortcuts onto a circular or spiral dock.
-Rotate the dock with either your mouse wheel or the keyboard arrow keys.
-Change the image shown for the icons and change the skins (compatible with icons and skins for Rocket Dock, Object Dock, etc.)
-Ability to run the program from a portable USB memory stick and have the links in the dock point to the documents on the USB memory stick.
-Ability to synchronize the links on the dock with the files, folders, and shortcuts on your desktop or other folders in real-time.

The Idea Behind Circle Dock
-The idea behind Circle Dock is that the dock should appear where your mouse is instead of you having to move your mouse to the dock like with other programs. This is accomplished by making the dock a circular or spiral shape so that it can be placed anywhere, even near the edge of the screen. The offscreen portions of the dock are easily reached by just scrolling with your mouse wheel or arrow keys.

XWindows Dock 5.6 – is the newest free Windows Vista Application Launcher similar to Dock from Mac. The difference I liked most was that the fact XWindows Dock can mimic the Mac Stacks much better than Objectdock for instance.

The iPhone users view at the beginning is that in the Apple world you have to pay for everything. So a deception comes. But little by little you come to realize a great vision behind it. If you find something that is what you really want, won’t you pay for it? even for a reasonable price? Yes, that is it!!! And it is not that difficult to find among 60.000 iPhone Apps so far.

For sure that Apple Business Model which is basically established by App store is the balance between the final Users and Software Developers, which at last make both ends to profit. This has started an App store race for the others manufactures. Many has done that already such as Nokia with Ovi Store…etc…but hear anything from SonyEricsson so far.

Preview Ruby 1.9 for Symbian OS at the Smartphone Show

Come to the Smartphone Show to discuss and preview the Symbian Research port of the upcoming Ruby 1.9 for Symbian OS. While the Ruby community is eagerly waiting for the official release of Ruby 1.9.1 this Christmas, Symbian Research and Pragmaticomm Limited have ported the new Ruby 1.9 Virtual Machine to Symbian OS v9.

YARV, as it is otherwise known, is a multi-threaded Ruby VM, with a 2x-10x times better performance than its predecessor. YARV implements the new Ruby 1.9 language specification, uses a bytecode engine, native threads, inline method caching and many more optimisations. Symbian Research is going to contribute all code back to the Ruby community as soon as possible, while Pragmaticomm engineers will be happy to demo Ruby 1.9 running on Symbian OS devices at the Smartphone Show.

David Wood, Symbian EVP of Research commented, “This project has been carried out in part to accelerate work on an EC-funded project, GREDIA. At the same time we hope that we can benefit all Symbian developers and the Ruby community”. Ruby on the rise in Brazil

Developers in Brazil expect their use of the Ruby scripting language to double in the next year, according to an Evans Data Corp. survey of 400 developers in Brazil, China, India and Eastern Europe. Although roughly 16 percent of developers in Brazil use Ruby today, almost a third expect to use it next year. Of the emerging markets studied, Ruby use is currently strongest in China, with 20 percent of developers using it today.
